National Hospice Foundation

The Charity for End of Life Care

In addition to my volunteer work with my local hospice program, I am committed to supporting the National Hospice Foundation and their mission to insure quality Hospice care for all.

Established in 1992, the National Hospice Foundation is located in Alexandria, Virginia and is committed to the goal of profoundly enhancing end-of-life-care for all people.

The National Hospice Foundation is an independent charitable foundation whose vision is a world where everyone facing serious illness, death and grief will experience the best that humankind can offer.

The foundation works to ensure that at the end of life all people have the opportunity to access the highest quality care through hospice, and live their final days pain-free with dignity and respect.

In order to accomplish their mission the National Hospice Foundation works to support quality and research programs; pain management education activities; caregiver services and grief and bereavement programs; public policy and advocacy efforts; and the development of global hospice partnerships.
